Overview REYNATIS
“REYNATIS” is an action-packed magical RPG where two characters with conflicting ideals battle it out in a beautifully recreated modern-day Shibuya, Tokyo. Set in 2024, the city is under the Criminal Magic Response Act, which technically bans people from going out at night, though it’s largely ignored. Marin, a wizard who has faced years of oppression because of his magic, is driven by his father’s words: “If you become the strongest, you’ll be set free.” With that in mind, he heads to Shibuya at night, looking for his own liberation. On the other hand Sari discovered her own magic and chose to use her powers for justice maintaining order in Shibuya by fighting against dangerous forces and illegal drugs that turn people into monsters. The game is narrative explores their clashing ideals Marin’s fight for freedom versus Sari’s pursuit of justice all unfolding in the bustling streets of Shibuya.
Combat in REYNATIS is all about balancing Suppressed and Liberated states. In Suppressed Mode, you can’t attack, but dodging enemy attacks becomes a breeze. In Liberated Mode, you can unleash powerful assaults, but you’ll be vulnerable, so timing is everything. Players can switch between three characters on the fly each with their own abilities allowing for strategic depth in battle.
Exploration is equally immersive. Shibuya is recreated in stunning detail, from the iconic SHIBUYA109 to hidden local spots. In Suppressed Mode, you can interact with civilians without revealing your identity, gathering tips and quests. But in Liberated Mode, where you use magic to speed up your exploration, civilians may report you, triggering a chase from the M.E.A.
The game also introduces an alternate magical realm called Another accessible only by wizards. This hidden world controlled by an anti government group called the Guild is filled with dangerous monsters and mysterious areas like forests factories and museums. What Lurks in its depths remains a mystery.
