Overview The Phantom Fellows
Oliver Cobblestone has a rather unique gift—he can see and communicate with a dead guy. Not all ghosts, mind you, just one: Englebert Picklebender, who’s been haunting Oliver’s life for years. Together they have formed The Phantom Fellows a paranormal investigation duo dedicated to giving the living peace of mind while helping the spirits of the dead find closure, or at least stop bugging people. In this comedic point-and-click adventure, you’ll explore the quirky town of Elderberry, Colorado, taking control of both Oliver and Englebert as you tackle ghostly cases over seven days. Whether you’re negotiating with spirits who just need closure, tracking down lost possessions, or dealing with ghosts who live for a good prank, you’ll be navigating through the strange but often hilarious lives of both the living and the dead. Along the way, you’ll need to prove to your clients—those still breathing—that you’ve done your job, because a ghostbuster’s word just isn’t enough these days!
As you work through each day’s objectives, a darker force begins lurking in the shadows, setting its sights on Oliver and hinting at something far more sinister than just your average haunting. Throughout the week the story builds toward a mysterious otherworldly showdown that is been brewing behind the scenes.
The game is all about the narrative with hand drawn pixel art and animations bringing the world of The Phantom Fellows to life. You can walk around as Oliver or float as Englebert, switching between them to solve puzzles, as being dead sometimes has its perks. There’s also a fast travel map to help you revisit places, as some puzzles might require you to go back to earlier locations. You’ll even get hints from Englebert if you ever find yourself stuck—his advice can range from subtle nudges to more obvious clues, depending on how much help you need.
The Phantom Fellows offers a rich world full of clickable interactions dialogue driven humor and plenty of unique ways to solve problems. Whether you are exploring, cracking jokes or unraveling the mysteries of the undead Oliver and Englebert’s adventure is anything but ordinary.
