Overview UBOAT
UBOAT is a WWII submarine simulator, but it’s not your typical game. It IS a survival sandbox where you manage your crew Zooming on the lives of German sailors. Their boat is both their home and, potentially, their grave. In UBOAT, your main job is to keep your crew alive and in good spirits because if they’re hungry, tired, or down in morale, they won’t stand a chance in battle. Angola ’86
The game is survival elements are built on a detailed Harm system. When your sub takes a hit, anything can happen, and you’ll need to stay calm and think creatively to get through it. Whether you’re trying to save everyone or making tough choices about who gets left behind, every decision matters. As you sail through the open seas, you’ll often be on your own, so you’ve got to manage your resources wisely. Sometimes you can recover supplies from wrecked Adversary ships or even call for help from allies.
To keep your sub running longer, you might need to disable unnecessary systems or have the crew rest to save oxygen. If morale is low, you can play cards with the crew or tune in to some music to lift their spirits. Your career in the Kriegsmarine will involve completing missions from headquarters, but they’re never straightforward. You’ll face unexpected challenges and might even get additional orders mid-mission.
Completing missions bravely earns you extra funds and boosts your reputation as a U-boat commander. With those rewards you can upgrade your sub buy new gear like torpedoes or sonar decoys and send officers on special tasks to speed up research. UBOAT’s simulation is realistic but still accessible. Even though the game faithfully recreates details like ballast effects and Earth’s curvature, you don’t have to be an expert right away.
Whether you’re managing your crew or taking direct control of the periscope, hydrophone, or deck gun, you’ll have plenty of ways to prove your skills as a commander. However the game gives you the freedom to decide how hands on you want to be making each Completion a unique experience.
