As a key player in any NATO-led Mediterranean operation the Italian Armed Forces boast a rich Military history from their elite Alpine troops to their fast-moving Armored units. Italy’s automotive and Armament Industries have produced some iconic vehicles Especially during the Cold War. You’ll get to deploy legendary units like the AR.76 Campagnola army jeep, the wheeled B1 Centauro, the C1 Ariete main battle tank, the powerful A-129 Mangusta attack helicopter, and the versatile Aermacchi MB-339 light strike aircraft.
In Wargame: Red Dragon, the Italian Armed Forces are a standalone NATO nation, bringing their unique mix of both domestic and foreign equipment to the battlefield. Whether it’s vintage or cutting-edge, this nation pack features 104 new Italian units, 19 brand-new models, and plenty of variants, all fully voiced and expertly recreated. It’s one of the most visually updated arsenals in the game.
However you will have access to a wide range of Vehicles and Equipment. The Esercito Italiano (Italian Army) includes notable vehicles like the AR.76 Campagnola jeep, VCC-1 Camilino APC, and the OF-40 main battle tank with its renowned Otomatic SPAAG variant. The lineup also features the FIROS series of truck-mounted MRLS, a variety of Fiat trucks and APCs, the SIDAM 25 SPAAG, SPADA SAM, and late prototype versions of the B1 Centauro wheeled tank, along with the C1 Ariete main battle tank.
The Aeronautica Militare (Italian Air Force) brings to the skies domestic designs such as the G.91 Gina, Aermacchi MB-339, and Ghibli close air support planes. Additionally, you’ll have access to upgraded F-104S fighters, multiple variants of the Panavia Tornado, and the AV-8B Harrier. The Italian helicopter fleet includes the A-109 in recon and anti-tank roles, various versions of the modified Huey and Twin Huey helicopters, and the A-129 Mangusta, a powerful anti-aircraft and anti-tank attack helicopter.

Italian small arms range from World War II relics to modern weaponry, including MAB 38/49 SMGs (Beretta M38), BM-59 rifles (Garand), and MG-42/59 LMGs, alongside AR-70 and AR-70/90 assault rifles.
