Overview Neckbreak
Neckbreak takes place in a world on the brink of collapse, with the European Union in disarray and a new superpower, the Novorussian Federation, rising on the horizon. This new federation has already absorbed countries like Lithuania Ukraine and Poland. At the center of it all is Crimson Tide, the first mega-city of Europe, designed as a symbol of harmony between the EU and the Novorussian Federation. Resident Evil 3
However, as history often proves, this utopia exists only in theory. The governing powers are no longer political but economic, where corporations call the shots, and citizens vote with their wallets for the entity that provides the most benefits. Life is kept in check with mandatory medication, controlling the population in subtle but powerful ways.
In the Lakk District of Crimson Tide, an ordinary middle-class citizen is about to begin what seems like another routine day. In Neckbreak, you play as this average citizen, leading a typical rinse-and-repeat life with a well-paying job and a seemingly perfect life, complete with a girlfriend, Olga, by your side. But beneath the surface of this everyday existence, there’s more going on.
You feel the weight of privilege and, as a true socialist at heart, feel the need to give something back to society. By day, you follow the corporate grind, but by night, you become a self-appointed dealer of justice, taking on the scum of the city with extreme prejudice—or at least, that’s what you think you’re doing.
The game is combat is fast-paced and semi tactical with a focus on reflexes environmental awareness and quick decision making. Encounters feel more like lethal puzzles, where both you and your enemies can be taken down in an instant. The unique combat mechanics such as the Superkick Adrenaline slides and Various pills make for some seriously stylish gameplay. There’s no health regeneration, and you can’t replenish your health at all, adding to the challenge.
Every decision you make influences the game is progression and the world reacts to your actions in ways that can lead to one of 12 different endings. As you descend further into this reality bending adventure you will unlock alternate routes experience trippy visuals and face the consequences of your choices whether they are in your mind or the world around you.
