Overview God of War Ragnarök

Picking up after the events of God of War (2018), the story unfolds as Fimbulwinter grips the land. Kratos and Atreus travel through all Nine Realms, searching for answers as Odin and his forces prepare for Ragnarök the battle that will supposedly end the world. Along the way they explore jaw dropping Mythical landscapes and face off against gods and Creatures. As Ragnarök looms closer, Kratos and Atreus are torn between protecting their family or the realms.
Atreus is trying to figure out his role in the prophecy of Loki, while Kratos struggles with his past mistakes and whether he can be the father Atreus needs. The combat remains intense with Kratos wielding his Leviathan Axe Blades of Chaos and Guardian Shield plus some new abilities for both him and Atreus. You will fight your way across all Nine Realms facing gods monsters and brutal challenges along the way.
You will get to explore vast and Dangerous worlds with full Control over how you play. Whether you take it slow or rush through like a speedrunner, the choice is yours.
If you grab God of War Ragnarök, you also get the Valhalla DLC right at launch, with no extra cost. This content pushes Kratos on a reflective journey through Valhalla blending the intense combat of Ragnarök with roguelite style gameplay. Every death is a lesson and each attempt lets you master Kratos’ weapons and abilities in new ways. Plus Valhalla introduces new challenges enemies and even some surprises along the way.
