You were part of a team delivering supplies to scientists at a remote lab in Alaska but when you arrived, the place was deserted and overrun by horrifying creatures. During the chaos of your escape, your group was scattered. Now, you’ve barely survived and set up a makeshift camp, and it’s up to you to figure out what went down.
You will explore hostile environments like caves mines and hidden labs, scavenging for supplies for yourself and any Survivors you meet. Along the way you will pick up clues to unravel the dark secrets of PRISM the shady organization behind some disturbing experiments.
Every each day is a persistent fight for Survival. Supplies are low, and your sanity is slipping as the days go on. You will need to improvise and find any edge you can to survive against the terrifying creatures lurking around. Will you hold onto your sanity or will the darkness take over.
The madness you experience does not just mess with your head it affects the entire game. The more traumatic events you endure the more your character is reality warps leading to new dialogue options actions and even new crafting abilities.
Back at camp, you’ll need to manage your crew’s morale. The survivors will help with scouting missions gathering resources like food and water but things are tense and when people are on the edge, anything can happen.
When it comes to combat, you’ll have to think carefully. However study your enemies’ weaknesses manage your resources and use your surroundings to your advantage. Sometimes you’ll have no choice but to fight with your axe but do not expect it to be easy.
With tough choices, terrifying monsters, and an atmosphere dripping with dread, Edge of Sanity is set in a world where survival is just the start, and the lines between good and evil are anything but clear. Welcome to Alaska during the Cold War, where sanity is a luxury and every decision matters.
