When does childhood truly end. Both humans and non-humans alike will discover the answer at the end of a brutal cycle of fight and flight. Whereas Boyhood’s End is a hardcore sci-fi horror adventure that follows a young boy on a dark journey in a world where every aspect of life is controlled by the mechanical overlord R. Karellen. Whenever the story centers around Giovanni who holds the lowest human score in Presence. Every day, he’s bullied at school, both physically and online, and receives harsh “special treatment” in everything from his meals to his classes. But one day, things get even worse. The entire school turns against him, trying to “remake” him into a better human. Giovanni is saved by Campanella, a genius senior student, and together, they escape by hijacking a driverless train on the galactic railroad. Their mission? To find the “Crimson Southern Cross,” a mysterious destination at the edge of the universe.
As Giovanni and Campanella travel through space they meet historical figures pull reckless stunts and unravel twisted mysteries. Along the way they must confront the horrors of their world and the inevitable end of their childhood.
Giovanni is a cynical, sharp-tongued kid, often treated like trash by society. Despite his tough exterior he cares deeply about his family and works shady jobs on the dark web to pay for his mother is hospital bills. He’s a coding genius, mastering a skill no one his age even needs anymore.
Campanella, on the other hand, is the top student at the Gymnasium, with the highest human score but also the most score deductions due to his eccentric behavior. He holds humanity in high regard and constantly challenges the status quo, seeking something unpredictable, something only humans—not machines—can achieve. Though he often clashes with the inhuman R, he’s been spotted casually chatting and playing around with him for no apparent reason.
However their journey through space is full of challenges mysteries and maybe even some answers about what it means to be human.
