Apartment 606 is a Suspenseful horror game with a twist of management where survival is not just about avoiding danger. The gameplay centers around Managing tasks on your computer to avoid getting fired. You’ll be handling things like writing emails solving captchas and transferring files to meet your daily quota. If you manage to earn extra money, you can spend it on upgrades like better internet or a UPS battery to keep your computer running through the night. As a full-time employee, you’ll also get mail—some of it helpful, some just spam—but either way, you’ve got to stay on top of it all while strange things start happening around you.
To survive the nights, you’ll need to keep your apartment secure. You’ll gain access to a camera system, though it’s not always reliable, requiring frequent reboots. Sound and light management are also crucial—construction can trip your fuse box, and keeping the lights on is vital since darkness may bring unwanted visitors. Don’t forget to lock your doors and windows, or you could end up regretting it.
The tension escalates over five nights with each night introducing more challenges. Weather changes, for instance, can suddenly make things more difficult. Your decisions throughout the game determine which of the multiple endings you’ll get, with one secret ending hidden for the most observant players. If you make it through, you’ll unlock a challenging sixth night, which is a 20-minute endurance test where things get more intense every second. Do you have what it takes to survive and uncover the truth behind the looming threat or will the sense of safety be your downfall.
